As a Business Trainee, your daily activities will involve monitoring investment restrictions and guidelines to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. You will:

Monitor Investment Restrictions: Conduct daily reviews of investment guidelines and identify any breaches or potential risks through transaction activities. Any unusual transactions will be reported or escalated per operating procedures.

Rule Coding and Testing: Develop an understanding of rule coding and testing in the Order Management System (OMS), a crucial tool in maintaining regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Documentation: Assist in preparing necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance with SEC and other regulatory bodies. This will involve supporting reviews and showing evidence of adequate processes and controls.

Global Compliance Collaboration: Engage with global compliance teams to monitor, assess, and report on compliance activities, including the development and implementation of controls.

Address Day-to-Day Compliance Issues: Help tackle daily compliance challenges related to trading strategies and assist in applying technological solutions to compliance-related issues.

Project Involvement: Contribute to various compliance-related projects aimed at streamlining processes, automating tasks, and implementing enhanced controls for efficiency.

Compliance Query Support: Independently handle compliance-related queries from other teams, escalating more complex issues to senior managers when necessary.

Learning and Development: Present your findings and learnings to the compliance team regularly, showcasing your growth and insights gained from the role.

Eligibility Criteria: 

This position is ideal for candidates with 0-2 years of related work experience in the asset management industry. Here’s what makes you a great fit:

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with financial products is essential, and knowledge of programming languages is a plus.

Regulatory Experience: Experience working in regulated environments like UCITS, SFC, FCA, SEC, and ERISA will be advantageous.

Skill Set: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and attention to detail are key traits for success in this role. You should also be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of MS Office applications is required.

Adaptability: A flexible and adaptable attitude is highly valued in a dynamic compliance environment.

Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the Business Trainee role, you should hold an MBA in Finance or a similar professional qualification with a specialization in finance.
