What Does an Apprentice Engineer Do?
As an Apprentice Engineer, your main job is to keep the network running smoothly. You’ll be involved in both proactive maintenance—where you check systems to prevent issues—and reactive maintenance, where you fix problems as they come up.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Prioritizing Network Issues: Not all problems are equal. You’ll decide which issues need immediate attention to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Handling Emergencies: When unexpected issues arise, you’ll coordinate with teams to quickly resolve them.
Addressing Customer Complaints: You’ll work on resolving escalations from customers and the Contact Center to ensure satisfaction.
Managing Trouble Tickets: These are records of problems within the network. You’ll analyze them and suggest solutions to prevent future issues.
Eligibility:
To apply, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication (BE E&C). While this role is open to fresh graduates, having a basic understanding of the telecom industry and technical support will help you hit the ground running.
Key skills and competencies include:
Domain Knowledge: Understanding the basics of telecommunications and network management.
Process and Tool Usage: Knowing how to use the tools and processes required to keep the network in top shape.
Technical Support: Being able to troubleshoot and solve technical problems quickly and effectively.
Task Coordination: Working efficiently with your team to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
