Canonical is hiring a Junior HR Generalist for a work-from-home position with a great salary. HR Support Responsibilities:
- Respond to team members’ questions on employment, contracts, and benefits.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Manage the onboarding process for new employees.
- Handle employment verifications and general HR inquiries.
HRIS and Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain the HR Information System (HRIS) with accurate and timely updates.
- Process new hires, including country-specific onboarding and setting up systems.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all employment files are up-to-date and GDPR compliant.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure smooth salary payments and data accuracy.
- Create purchase orders for internal departments.
Global Projects and Collaboration:
- Lead global HR projects (engagement, training, and culture initiatives).
- Partner with managers and employees to drive HR processes and strategies.
- Act as a global HR partner, working closely with colleagues, leads, and executives.
- Conduct and manage global background checks.
- Skills and Qualities We Look For:
- Strong academic background (preferably university-level).
- Previous experience in HR, especially in the tech industry, is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex workloads, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
- High integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling data.
- Adaptability to change and a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to grow in an HR role and attend company events (travel up to 4 times a year).
